Manchester City could swoop for Tottenham Hotspur star
Manchester City could set their sights on signing Harry Kane this summer, suppose they are unable to pursue the signature of Erling Haaland.
Haaland has been in sublime form for Borussia Dortmund this term with 33 goals in 31 appearances, and this has caught the eye of multiple clubs.
The Cityzens are set to lose the services of Sergio Aguero when his contract expires in June, and Haaland is their top target.
However, a deal appears difficult due to the poor relationship between manager Pep Guardiola and Haaland's super-agent Mino Raiola.
Hence, they may need to look elsewhere and The Times claims that Kane is the alternative target for the runaway Premier League leaders.
Kane has netted a staggering 167 goals in the division since his breakthrough with Tottenham Hotspur, but he could be on the move this summer.
At 27, he has entered the prime of his career, and the England international may want to pursue a bigger challenge where he can win silverware.
His current contract does not expire until June 2024, and the Cityzens may need to pay as much as £150m to prise him away.
