Chelsea identify Italian striker as Erling Haaland alternative?

Belotti to Chelsea?

Chelsea could focus on signing Torino captain Andrea Belotti, if they are unable to convinced Erling Haaland to join them this summer.

Haaland is the Blues' top striker target, but he could be an expensive buy with Borussia Dortmund likely to demand more than £130m.

Meanwhile, there is strong competition from Manchester City, Real Madrid and Barcelona and Haaland could choose one of those clubs.

Hence, the Blues have a contingency plan in place and Corriere Granata claims that the club are keeping an eye on Italian striker Belotti.

Belotti has been a wonderful servant for Torino over the years, registering 103 goals and 25 assists from 219 appearances.

He has netted 11 goals alongside six assists for the club this season, where they are just two points ahead of the relegation zone.

Belotti continues to have a £85m release clause on his contract, but he could be available for half the price amid the financial impact of COVID-19.
