Everton to sign former Liverpool playmaker?
Everton have reportedly agreed to land the signature of Philippe Coutinho from Barcelona during the summer transfer window.
The 28-year-old was heavily linked with a Premier League return last summer, but a deal failed to materialise.
Coutinho was a regular under Ronald Koeman during the early part of the season, but unfortunately suffered a knee injury in December.
According to The Sun, the Blaugrana are set to part ways with Coutinho this summer, and the Toffees are deemed to have agreed a deal.
The Merseyside outfit are expected to pay around £35m for Coutinho, and they have already started house-hunting for him.
Coutinho made 201 Premier League appearances for Liverpool between 2013 and 2018, contributing 54 goals and 45 assists.
The Blaugrana signed the Brazilian for an initial £105m. They owe the Reds around £20m if he makes 100 appearances for them.
The club are keen to avoid the clause by sanctioning his sale this summer. Arsenal have been linked with Coutinho in the past.
