Houssem Aouar open to leaving Lyon this summer

Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar is prepared to consider a fresh challenge this summer amid interest from Arsenal and Liverpool.

The Frenchman was heavily linked with the Gunners last summer, but they failed to negotiate a fee before the deadline.

Aouar has since experienced a mixed campaign with Les Gones, and he has been a regular on the bench in recent weeks.

According to L'Equipe, Aouar could head for the exit door this summer with both the Reds and Gunners keeping tabs on him.

However, Jurgen Klopp's side could have the advantage in the pursuit as the Gunners could miss out on European football next term.

Aouar was valued at around £50m last summer, but the valuation could be lesser this term with only two years left on his contract.

Aouar has bagged six goals and three assists from 28 Ligue 1 matches this term. His form has certainly dipped from last season.

Juventus have also been linked with the Frenchman's services in the past.
