Arsenal set to sign Eredivisie goalkeeper?
Arsenal are prepared to land the signature of Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana in the coming weeks, NOS claims.
The Cameroonian was handed a 12-month ban by UEFA in February after taking a prohibited drug for medical treatment.
He has made an appeal at the Court of Arbitration for Sport, and a verdict will be known over the next few days.
According to Dutch outlet NOS, the Gunners are ready to sign Onana this summer regardless of the verdict on the ban.
Onana's suspension could be reduced by around four months with a successful appeal, and this could determine the price.
Ajax are likely to ask around €7-9 million for Onana if the punishment is reduced. Otherwise, they could sell him for just €2m.
The Gunners are reportedly unconvinced with Bernd Leno, and they are reportedly keen to bring in competition through Onana.
Meanwhile, the club have been tipped to sign Brighton & Hove Albion's Mat Ryan on a free transfer following a solid loan stint.
