Arsenal favourites to sign Manchester City star?

Arsenal are reportedly the front-runners to sign Manchester City winger Raheem Sterling this summer.

The England international had another top campaign for the Cityzens, bagging 14 goals and 12 assists across all competitions.

However, he was used sparingly in the backend of the European season, with Phil Foden regularly preferred ahead of him.

According to The Sun, the Gunners are aiming to land the former Liverpool man as they look to bolster their attack.

They are prepared to meet his £300,000-a-week wages, and are reportedly favourites to sign him this summer.

Tottenham have also been linked with Sterling with suggestions that he could be offered in a swap deal for Harry Kane.

Unlike the Gunners, they are reluctant to meet his hefty salary package.

Gunners boss Mikel Arteta played a key role in transforming Sterling's career when he was the assistant manager at City.

A reunion could be on the cards, with the Spaniard aiming to bolster the squad sufficiently for a top-four push next term.
