Arsenal confident of signing James Maddison?
Arsenal are reportedly confident of landing the signature of Leicester City midfielder James Maddison this summer.
The Gunners are searching for a new creative midfielder, and they have been linked with numerous names lately.
Martin Odegaard appeared the top target after his successful loan spell, but Real Madrid want to keep him next season.
Meanwhile, the Gunners recently bowed out of the race to sign Emiliano Buendia, who has since joined Aston Villa.
Maddison has now emerged as the top option, and The Mail claims that the club are growing confident of sealing a deal.
It was recently reported that the Foxes could demand £80m for the England international, who joined them in 2018.
However, The Mail reports that a fee of around £60m could be sufficient to convince the Foxes to sanction his sale.
Maddison had an impressive 2020/21 campaign with the Foxes, registering 11 goals and 10 assist from 42 appearances.
He has also been linked with Chelsea, but they are unlikely to join the race unless Hakim Ziyech heads for the exit door.
