Manchester United defender to head out on loan
Manchester United are prepared to entertain loan offers for Brandon Williams this summer.
Williams had a difficult 2020/21 campaign with United. He was restricted to only five starts across all competitions.
He was linked with a possible loan exit in January, but manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer opted to block his departure.
According to Manchester Evening News, United are now open to loan offers for Williams such that he can gain more experience.
He is on the radar of Championship teams while Southampton and Newcastle United are the top-flight clubs interested.
The Magpies were heavily linked with his services last summer, but nothing materialised beyond the speculation.
William has made 50 appearances for the Red Devils since his debut in 2019. He has three years left on his contract.
The 20-year-old was the third-choice right-back behind Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Axel Tuanzebe last season.
A loan move seems worthwhile, considering Diogo Dalot could add competition for the role next season.
