Manchester United are prepared to meet the wage demands of midfielder Paul Pogba, The Sun reports.

The Frenchman has only 12 months left on his contract, and there has been no progress over a renewal.

Fresh talks will be held after the European Championships, and United are determined to keep him.

In recent months, they have refused to meet his £400,000-a-week demands, but they could finally give in.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is desperate for Pogba to stay, and the hierarchy are expected to back the Norwegian.

The club are keen to compete for the Premier League title next term. They are looking for one marquee signing.

Jadon Sancho could be the player. United are close to sealing a transfer agreement with Borussia Dortmund.

They are just €3m short of meeting Dortmund's price (€90m) for the attacker, who made 36 goal contributions last term.

Aside from Sancho, they are also keen on signing Real Madrid's Raphael Varane, but face stiff competition from PSG.
