Liverpool planning to open talks with ex-Arsenal graduate
Liverpool are planning to open negotiations with PSV Eindhoven to sign former Arsenal graduate Donyell Malen.
The Dutchman had an excellent 2020/21 campaign for PSV, registering 27 goals and 10 assists from 45 appearances.
His progress has caught the eye of several European clubs, and the Reds have been one of the long-term admirers.
According to Sky Germany, the Reds are preparing to open talks for the Dutchman amid the fierce competition for his services.
Everton and Tottenham Hotspur have also been linked, but their main priority remains to fill their managerial vacancies.
Malen spent two years with Arsenal (2015-2017) before joining PSV. He has since bagged 55 goals and 24 assists from 116 games.
He is currently with the Netherlands at the European Championships, and started their 3-0 win over North Macedonia on Monday.
Barcelona, AC Milan and Juventus are also keeping tabs on the marksman, who has two goals from 12 caps for his country.
He could be available for around £35 million this summer.
