Barcelona keen on landing Chelsea defender
Barcelona are keen on landing the signature of Chelsea defender Marcos Alonso this summer.
The Blaugrana are expected to offload Junior Firpo in the coming weeks, and they have identified Alonso as the potential replacement.
Alonso had agreed personal terms with the Blaugrana last summer, but a deal failed to materialise after Firpo stayed at Camp Nou.
They are expected to revive their pursuit, and Mundo Deportivo claims that the Blues are open to offloading the Spaniard.
Alonso played regularly at left wing-back when Thomas Tuchel was initially appointed as the Blues head coach in January.
However, he soon fell out-of-favour. Towards the end of the season, Ben Chilwell was the regular choice for the position.
The club are planning to offload both Alonso and Emerson this summer, and have their sights on signing Roma's Leonardo Spinazzola.
The Italian has been in superb form at Euro 2020. Tuchel wants him to provide strong competition to Chilwell next term.
