Leicester sign striker Daka
Leicester City have completed the transfer of Zambian striker Patson Daka, who scored 34 goals in all competitions for Red Bull Salzburg last season.
22 year old Daka, who was on Brendan Rodgers' shortlist along with Odsonne Edouard from Celtic, has signed a five-year contract in a transfer believed to be around 23 million pounds.
Daka who also has 27 caps for Zambia, had impressive stats in Austria with 61 goals in 87 matches for Red Bull Salzburg. He also led them to four consecutive titles.
Speaking to the official site, Daka said that he is very happy to join the Foxes, and also added that he dreamt to play in the Premier League one day.
He said: "I’m so, so excited to join this great, historic Club. It has been my dream and I’m so happy and looking forward to what’s coming next.
"I have followed Leicester from the time they won the league. I feel it is the perfect place for me because it’s a team that fights for titles. I know it’s not going to be easy, but I feel ready to face this new challenge."
