Atletico Madrid make Saul Niguez transfer decision
Atletico Madrid have revealed their transfer stance on Saul Niguez amid interest from Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool.
The Spaniard made just 22 starts in the Spanish top-flight last season. His game time could be reduced with the arrival of Rodrigo De Paul.
He has been tipped to pursue a fresh challenge, but so far, there have been no concrete bids to land his signature this summer.
According to AS, Atletico are not desperate to offload Niguez, who has another five years remaining on his contract with the club.
He has a release clause worth €150m on his contract, and Atletico won't offload him unless they receive a big-money bid.
With the current financial situation, there are no clubs willing to pay more than €40m for Niguez. He could stay with Atletico.
The Spanish giants are content to buy their time on the midfielder, and could wait until next summer to sanction his sale.
