Olivier Giroud set for Chelsea exit
Olivier Giroud is reportedly on the cusp of leaving Chelsea for AC Milan, Gianluca Di Marzio claims.
The Frenchman netted 11 goals for the Blues last term, but he was largely a fringe player during the back end of the season.
The Blues extended his deal for another year, but he looks set to leave the club for a nominal fee of just €1 million this summer.
The Rossoneri will pay another €1m in the form of add-ons. Giroud has agreed a two-year deal worth €68,000-a-week.
He has accepted a 40 per cent pay cut to join the Rossoneri, where he would be assured with regular playing time.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic excelled for Milan last term with 19 goals, but the 39-year-old has had injury concerns lately.
The Swede's game time could be restricted next season. Giroud is being fancied to lead the line for the Serie A giants.
Meanwhile, fellow strikers Michy Batshuayi and Tammy Abraham are expected to leave the west London giants in the coming weeks.
