Bailly to Roma?

Manchester United centre-back Eric Bailly could reportedly make the move to AS Roma during the ongoing transfer window.

Bailly only signed a new contract in April this year, but within a month, he handed an ultimatum that he would leave if he is not assured a starting role.

That appears unlikely with Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof ahead of him in the pecking order while United are eyeing another centre-back.

They have their sights on landing either Raphael Varane or Pau Torres. Bailly could potentially become the fourth-choice centre-back next term.

According to Il Tempo, Bailly could leave United in the coming weeks, and Roma are keeping a close eye on the defender's situation.

Jose Mourinho had a close relationship with Bailly when he was the United boss, and the Portuguese is reportedly keen on a reunion.

The Giallorossi could propose a loan deal for the Ivory Coast international with an option to buy at the end of the campaign.
