Belgian midfielder passes Arsenal medical ahead of transfer
Anderlecht midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga has reportedly passed his medical with Arsenal ahead of his expected transfer.
The Gunners recently confirmed their first summer signing with defender Nuno Tavares joining them from Benfica.
They are now expected to announce the arrival of Lokonga. He will travel to London following his successful medical in Belgium.
He may need to go through quarantine before he can sign the contract papers. Lokonga could join the team after their Scotland camp.
The Gunners play their first pre-season friendly against Hibernian on July 13. Four days later, they travel to Glasgow to face Rangers.
Shortly after, they will make the trip to the United States for the Florida Cup involving Inter Milan, Everton and Colombian side Millonarios.
On their return, they have the Mind Series against Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur, that is focused on supporting better mental health.
The Gunners start their Premier League campaign with an away trip to newly-promoted Brentford on Friday, August 13th.
