Chelsea quoted price to sign Declan Rice
Chelsea will need to pay around £100 million to land the signature of West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice this summer, Eurosport claims.
The Blues are long-term admirers of the England international, and they were fancied to sign him during last summer's transfer window.
Frank Lampard was eager to land his signature, but the hierarchy refused to spend after an outlay of £225m on seven signings.
According to Eurosport, the Blues are likely to revive their interest with current boss Thomas Tuchel also an admirer of Rice.
The Hammers are reluctant to part ways with the 22-year-old, and only a bid of around £100m would convince them to sell.
Rice has three years remaining on his contract with the Hammers. The club have the option of extending his stay for another 12 months.
He was recently offered an improved deal that has been rejected. Rice is open to joining the Blues with his hunger to win trophies.
