Manchester United are prepared to keep hold of Daniel James next season despite the arrival of Jadon Sancho, The Mirror reports.

The Welshman had a tough second season with the Red Devils, playing just over 900 minutes in the Premier League.

He has been linked with a possible move to Leeds United this summer, but The Mirror claims that he is likely to stay put.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer still values the 23-year-old, and it is reported that the winger could be handed a new long-term deal.

United have made just one signing in Sancho this summer. The Englishman is expected to feature regularly on the right wing.

James may have to settle for a bench role with Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial likely to play ahead of him on the other flank.

Rashford could be out for two months with a shoulder surgery. That could be a reason behind the club's desire to keep hold of James.
