Diogo Dalot price set by Manchester United

Manchester United are prepared to sanction the sale of Diogo Dalot if they receive an offer of around £17m.

The Portuguese spent last season on loan with AC Milan, making more than 30 appearances across all competitions.

He was initially a bench warmer in the Serie A, but earned regular minutes during the back end of the season.

The Rossoneri are keen on re-signing him on loan, but United are clear that they won't entertain such a proposal.

The club would prefer to offload him permanently for £17m as they are keen to bring Kieran Trippier from Atletico.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka has been United's undisputed right-back over the past few seasons, but Solskjaer wants competition.

Trippier has been identified as the ideal player with his attacking attributes fitting right into the Norwegian's plans.

Atletico are reluctant to lose the 30-year-old this summer, and they won't sell him for less than £40m in the window.

United are still optimistic of negotiating a lesser fee for his services.
