Manchester United are likely to prioritise a move for Atletico Madrid defender Kieran Trippier this month.

The Red Devils have been active this summer, and they have spent £110m on Raphael Varane and Jadon Sancho.

They are now expected to offload fringe players such that they can make more signings before the transfer deadline.

According to ESPN, Trippier remains a priority for manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who is eyeing a new right-back.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka has been an undisputed choice for the position, but he has struggled in an attacking point of view.

Trippier is considered as an ideal competitor. Before pursuing him, they are aiming to offload Diogo Dalot permanently.

Meanwhile, Axel Tuanzebe could also leave on loan. Trippier is eager to make the switch to his boyhood club.

He has two years remaining on his contract at Atletico. The Spanish giants want at least £30m to sanction his sale.

Atletico are hopeful that the price will put off the Red Devils.
