Arsenal could still sign Houssem Aouar this summer
Arsenal could still make an approach for Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar this summer, RMC Sport claims.
The Gunners were heavily interested in Aouar last summer, but they were put off by the staggering €60m price tag.
He is now reportedly available for just €25m, but the hierarchy seem to be prioritising other targets at the moment.
Leicester City's James Maddison is the prime focus, and he won't come cheaply with a hefty €82m asking price.
According to RMC Sport, Aouar remains on the radar of the Gunners, and they could yet make a late approach for him.
Aouar was far from his best last season. He still registered eight goals and four assists from 33 appearances in all competitions.
The Gunners are desperate to land a creative midfielder, and they could return for Aouar if a move for Maddison fails.
Arch-rivals Tottenham Hotspur have also been credited with an interest in signing the Frenchman, who has one international cap.
