West Ham United to swoop for Chelsea defender?
West Ham United continue to remain interested in signing Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma this summer, The Telegraph reports.
The east London outfit are keen on pursuing a new centre-back this summer with the extra workload after Europa League qualification.
Zouma has been on their radar for a while, and it is now reported that they are determined to seal a deal for the Frenchman.
The reported £25m price tag remains a stumbling block at the moment, but the Hammers are optimistic of lowering the fee.
Still, a move may not be straightforward with Zouma set to demand a significant raise on his current £50,000-a-week wages.
Aside from Zouma, they have been linked with the services of Rennes' Nayef Aguerd and Fiorentina's Nikola Milenkovic.
A move for Aguerd could be ruled out with Rennes stating that they won't entertain any offers for the Morocco international.
The Hammers could be priced out of a move for Milenkovic with Tottenham Hotspur recently entering the player's pursuit.
