Manchester United not interested in signing Monaco star
Manchester United are not interested in signing Monaco midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni this summer, Fabrizio Romano reports.
The Red Devils have made two high-profile signings in Raphael Varane and Jason Sancho for a combined £110 million.
They have been fancied to make one more big-money purchase, and Tchouameni was recently linked with a possible move.
Romano has now dismissed those claims citing that the Red Devils have not made any contact with the midfielder's agents.
He added that the club are not planning any approach to sign the 21-year-old, who has also been linked with rivals Chelsea.
The Blues view him as an alternative to West Ham United's Declan Rice. They could make a late approach for his services.
Monaco are not planning to sell Tchouameni this summer, but a bid of around £45m could seriously test their resolve.
Tchouameni had his breakthrough season with Monaco last term. He bagged three goals and four assists from 42 games.
