Arsenal midfielder on his way to Fiorentina?
Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira is reportedly close to joining Fiorentina on loan with a compulsory buy clause.
The Uruguayan was deemed surplus to requirements last summer, and he was loaned out to Atletico Madrid.
He has two years left on his Gunners contract, but it appears that he could be leaving for good this time around.
According to football.london, La Viola are set to land Torreira on loan with an obligation to buy next summer.
The exact financial details have not been revealed, but the Gunners were previously looking for around €15 million.
Lazio and Roma have been linked with the Uruguayan this month, but Fiorentina have made the best transfer proposal.
It appears that the Rome-based clubs were reluctant to insert a compulsory purchase option at the end of the season.
Torreira will be the second midfielder leaving the Gunners this summer after Matteo Guendouzi switch to Marseille.
Guendouzi recently joined Les Phoceens on loan. He will sign for them permanently for €10m at the end of the season.
