Arsenal could sign new striker before deadline
Arsenal plan to recruit a new striker before the transfer window closes this month.
The Gunners currently have Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alexandre Lacazette, Gabriel Martinelli, Folarin Balogun and Eddie Nketiah as striker options.
Out of them, Lacazette and Nketiah have entered the final year of their deals, and the latter has been tipped to head for the exit door before the August 31 deadline.
According to The Mirror, the north London giants are not looking to sell Aubameyang or Lacazette despite the speculation surrounding their futures with the club.
They still plan to recruit a new marksman, but the move will depend on a striker leaving. Nketiah, who is out with an ankle problem, has been fancied to move on.
The Gunners value him at £20m, but may have to sell for less due to his contract status. Crystal Palace and Brighton & Hove Albion have been linked with his services.
Aside from Nketiah, Lucas Torreira, Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Hector Bellerin and Willian could all leave before the closure of the summer transfer window.
