Everton to swoop for former Newcastle United star?
Everton are reportedly keen on landing the signature of Salomon Rondon from Chinese Super League club Dalian Pro.
The Venezuelan is keen on a return to the Premier League, and he has been linked with a reunion with Rafael Benitez.
He previously worked with Benitez at Newcastle United, where he was on a season-long loan from West Bromwich Albion.
After the 2018/19 campaign, he made the switch to Dalian from the Baggies after Benitez took charge at the Chinese outfit.
It now appears that Rondon could be reunited with Benitez again. The Spaniard has recommended the transfer to the board.
The hierarchy are prepared to back the Spaniard with his own signings. Rondon could return to the Premier League after two years.
Rondon has a decent record in the division with 35 goals and 15 assists from 140 appearances for the Baggies and Magpies.
The Toffees have recently sanctioned Moise Kean's return to Juventus. Rondon could act as a handy back-up for Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
