Jules Kounde furious with Sevilla after failed Chelsea move
French defender Jules Kounde is furious with Sevilla after they blocked his potential move to Chelsea this summer.
The La Liga outfit initially agreed to sell him for around £47m, but later increased the price tag to around £58m.
The Blues did not make an improved offer, and decided against pursuing a centre-back before the transfer deadline.
According to Spanish Football Podcast, Kounde is fuming over Sevilla's decision to deny him a move to Chelsea.
It is added that he has recently blocked phone calls from manager Julen Lopetegui and sporting director Monchi.
Kounde had agreed personal terms over a five-year contract with the Blues.
The west London giants are expected to return for his services when the transfer window reopens in the New Year.
Kounde was recently in action for France against Bosnia & Herzegovina, where he was sent off for a reckless challenge.
As a result, the 22-year-old is banned for the next World Cup qualifier and could return to his club ahead of schedule.
