Arsenal continuing to monitor Houssem Aouar?
Arsenal are continuing to monitor Lyon playmaker Houssem Aouar, a report from Fichajes claims.
The Frenchman was one of the top targets for the Gunners during the 2020 summer transfer window, but a deal failed to materialise.
They were fancied to make a fresh approach this summer. It did not happen as the club prioritised a permanent deal for Martin Odegaard.
According to Fichajes, the Gunners are still monitoring the performances of Aouar and could make a future transfer approach.
The 23-year-old had an impressive 2019/2020 season for Lyon, bagging nine goals and 10 assists from 41 appearances.
His performances dipped for Les Gones last term. He registered eight goals and four assists from 33 games in all competitions.
It was reported that the Gunners were concerned with his attitude off the field which may have cooled their interest this summer.
The capital outfit appear to be keeping tabs on Aouar nonetheless. They could return for his services at some point next year.
