Former Tottenham Hotspur defender under Everton's radar?
Former Tottenham Hotspur defender Serge Aurier has been identified as a potential transfer target for Everton.
The Toffees were keen on landing a new right-back this summer, and they were heavily linked with Denzel Dumfries.
However, they could not find a suitable agreement with PSV Eindhoven, and he ended up joining Italian champions Inter.
Ainsley Maitland-Niles was an option for them on loan, but Arsenal made it clear that the 24-year-old was not leaving.
The Toffees currently have Seamus Coleman and Jonjoe Kenny as the specialist right-backs, but the latter's future is doubtful.
His current contract expires at the end of the campaign, and the club could cash in on his services at the turn of the year.
Before that they are likely to pursue a replacement. Aurier is reportedly under consideration to fill the potential void.
Aurier was released by Spurs before the transfer deadline, and he can negotiate anytime with the Toffees as he is a free agent.
