Lingard ready to leave United in January

Manchester United attacker Jesse Lingard is prepared to leave the club when the transfer window reopens in January.

Lingard had a superb loan spell with West Ham United earlier this year, bagging nine goals and five assists from 16 games.

He was fancied to rejoin them permanently over the summer, but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer decided to keep hold of his services.

Lingard has since scored a couple of Premier League goals for the Red Devils, but his game time has been far from sufficient.

He has been limited to just 45 minutes on the pitch. He has no plans of renewing his contract that expires next summer.

According to The Mirror, he is prepared to pursue a fresh challenge in January that would also suit the Red Devils.

The club are looking for around £15m. Lingard is keen to play regularly to boost his World Cup prospects with England.

West Ham, Leicester City and Newcastle United are among the clubs interested in signing the Red Devils graduate.
