Real Madrid want to sign Rudiger for free

Real Madrid have earmarked Antonio Rudiger as one of their top transfer targets, according to Marca.

The German has entered the final year of his contract, but he has yet to negotiate a new deal with the Blues.

He can sign a pre-contract with a foreign club in January, and Los Blancos are keen to open up negotiations with him.

The Madrid giants signed David Alaba on a pre-contract agreement from Bayern Munich earlier this summer.

They plan to do the same with Rudiger. He is open to a new challenge elsewhere if the Blues don't meet his demands.

The former Roma man wants around £200,000-a-week to extend his stay, but the Blues have refused to meet his requirements.

The centre-back does not feel valued by the hierarchy, and could leave them on a free transfer at the end of the campaign.

Real Madrid are not alone in the player's pursuit. Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain are also among his admirers.
