Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has provided a fresh update on Alexandre Lacazette ahead of the Premier League clash against Crystal Palace.

The Frenchman has played just 48 minutes of league football this term. He has made only two appearances, both off the bench.

There is speculation that he could leave the club in January rather than at the expiry of his contract at the end of the season.

However, Arteta has emphasised that Lacazette is fully committed to the north London club and ruled out a mid-season departure.

He added that the marksman will get minutes at the right moment, and there are no doubts over his quality on the playing field.

Lacazette has been linked with Inter Milan. The Nerazzurri want him as a replacement for former Gunners star Alexis Sanchez.

While the Gunners may prefer a mid-season deal, they may not take up the option as key players will be absent in January.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Nicolas Pepe will be absent for an entire month due to African Cup of Nations commitments.
