La Liga giants favourites to sign Arsenal striker

Sevilla are considered favourites to sign Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette, according to La Razon.

The Gunners are braced for the departure of Lacazette when his contract expires at the end of the season.

Several clubs have been linked with him including Atletico Madrid and Inter, but Sevilla are deemed favourites.

The La Liga outfit are prepared to guarantee Lacazette with a starting role that may not be an assurance elsewhere.

Lacazette has played under 50 minutes of league football for the Gunners this term, but Mikel Arteta has supported him.

The Gunners boss recently said that there is no shortage of commitment from Lacazette despite his limited game time.

He has refused to rule out his departure, but they are genuine signs that Lacazette will leave for free next summer.

The former Lyon man has been a regular on the bench this term with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang being the leader of the attack.

His situation may not change until the African Cup of Nations in January when Aubameyang and Nicolas Pepe will be absent.
