Eddie Nketiah news

Nketiah wanted by Monchengladbach

Borussia Monchengladbach are keen on landing Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah when his contract expires next summer.

The former England Under-21 international has received limited game time with the Gunners, and he has only played in the League Cup this term.

He has eight months left on his current deal with the club, and is free to negotiate a pre-contract with a foreign side at the turn of the year.

According to The Sun, Monchengladbach have recently entered the pursuit of the marksman, and they are exploring a Bosman transfer.

The Gunners are still optimistic of keeping Nketiah. They have proposed a three-year contract offer, but the striker has yet to accept.

Nketiah believes he will never become an integral part of Mikel Arteta's plans despite the Spaniard talking up his potential regularly.

The Gunners are already eyeing a high-profile striker to replace Alexandre Lacazette, who is set to leave on a free transfer next summer.

Lacazette has no plans of renewing his contract with the club despite reclaiming a starting role under Arteta in recent weeks.
