Manchester United suffer Paul Pogba injury blow

Manchester United have suffered a fresh injury blow with midfielder Paul Pogba likely to be sidelined for the rest of the year.

The 28-year-old sustained a thigh injury in Monday's training session with France, and it now appears that the concern is serious.

After initial diagnosis, RMC Sports reports that the midfielder may not return to the playing field until the turn of the year.

Pogba could be out for eight weeks. It is reported that he could be sidelined for another month based on further examination.

The news will come as a big blow for the Mancunian giants, who have had a dismal start to the Premier League campaign.

They picked up 13 points from the opening five matches, but have since added just four points in six games with four losses.

Pogba has missed the last two domestic games due to suspension. He is also unavailable to face Watford after the international break.

As per the latest update, the Frenchman may not be available for a number of games thereafter due to the untimely setback.
