Pogba to be frozen out by Man Utd?

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba may have played his final game for the club amid his ongoing contract stand-off.

The Frenchman has been inconsistent with his performances at club level over the years, and the current season has not been different.

He started the campaign in stellar fashion with seven assists in four league games, but thereafter went off the boil with average displays.

Pogba was a regular on the bench last month before his sending off against Liverpool. He is now on the sidelines with a thigh injury.

According to The Sun, the hierarchy are frustrated with the ongoing circus involving Pogba and his agent over the contract situation.

The midfielder's contract expires at the end of the campaign, and United could freeze him out on his injury return until the summer.

They have the option of offloading him on a cut-price deal in January, but Pogba has a clear preference to pursue a free transfer exit.

The midfielder is eyeing a significant signing-on fee alongside huge wages. A Bosman move would provide an ideal opportunity for that.
