Sevilla are interested in signing Manchester United striker Edinson Cavani on a cut-price deal during the winter transfer window.

The Uruguayan has made eight appearances for the Red Devils this term, but just two of those have come from the starting line-up.

He has played second fiddle to Cristiano Ronaldo up front, but there are suggestions that he could head for the exit door in January.

Cavani's current deal expires at the end of the campaign, and he has no plans of putting pen-to-paper on a possible extension.

Sevilla boss Julen Lopetegui is eyeing a winter deal for Cavani, and it remains to be seen whether they can convince United.

The Red Devils are well covered in the striking department with Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood.

Cavani was linked with a possible move to Boca Juniors this year before he was convinced to sign a one-year deal at United.

The decision has not proved worthwhile. He has struggled with injuries while the shock return of Ronaldo has hampered his game time.
