Manchester United goalkeeper to sign new contract?

De Gea to be offered new deal?

Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea could sign a new contract amid his stand-out performances this season.

The Spaniard's future was under question earlier this year, but he has redeemed himself with consistent displays this term.

His current deal does not expire until June 2023, but it is reported that the Red Devils could open talks over a possible renewal.

It was previously suggested that Dean Henderson could become the number one, but he has barely played this season.

The England international has made just one appearance, and has been touted to leave on loan in the New Year.

The Red Devils are willing to loan him out for 18 months. Newcastle United appear favourites to secure his services.

United have made an average start to the current campaign, and they are currently sixth on the table with 17 points.

De Gea has singlehandedly kept United in games this season, and there needs to be a drastic improvement in defence.
