Chelsea favourites to sign French midfielder

Chelsea are leading Manchester United and Juventus in the race to sign Aurelien Tchouameni next year.

The Frenchman is regarded as one of the best young midfielders in Ligue 1, and he has been touted for a bigger challenge.

Monaco have no plans of selling him at the turn of the year, but they are willing to listen to offers for a summer deal.

According to Tuttojuve, the Blues are deemed favourites to sign Tchouameni, who could be available for £45 million.

Juventus have also been in close contact for the 21-year-old midfielder, but they are unlikely to afford a straight-cash deal.

Meanwhile, the Red Devils are still undecided over whether to make a move. They have different options in their wishlist.

They have also identified West Ham United's Declan Rice and Leeds United's Kalvin Phillips as possible midfield choices.

The Red Devils are braced for the departure of Paul Pogba whose contract expires at the end of the ongoing campaign.
