Liverpool boss confirms injury blow for forward
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that Diogo Dalot picked up a minor injury during the 4-0 Premier League win over Arsenal.
The Merseyside giants registered a dominating victory over the Gunners yesterday. Jota scored the second goal shortly after the interval.
He was eventually substituted in the 79th minute. The change was apparently forced with the Portuguese picking up a fitness concern.
Speaking after the game, Klopp revealed that the 24-year-old picked up a proper knock to his knee, and will be assessed in the coming days.
The German was hopeful that there is nothing serious and the forward can make a swift comeback to first-team action for the Reds.
Liverpool face Porto in the Champions League in midweek. They have already reached the last 16 of the competition with the top spot sealed.
Klopp is expected to make wholesale changes on Wednesday. While Jota could be sidelined, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane may be rested as well.
