Bayern Munich keeping tabs on Chelsea midfielder

Mason Mount news

Mount to Bayern Munich?

Bayern Munich are planning a surprise approach for Mason Mount if he fails to agree a new contract with Chelsea.

The England international is a key player for the Blues, and has already made 121 appearances across all competitions.

His current deal only expires in the summer of 2024, but there is speculation that he is keen on signing an improved contract.

According to German outlet TZ, Bayern could make a move for Mount if there is a potential contract stand-off in the future.

Mount is currently happy with the west London giants, but his stance could change if there is no progress over a new deal.

The Blues are likely to open talks at the end of the season, but it is claimed that they value the midfielder at around £64 million.

Bayern are looking in to the future, and they are keen on pursuing an attacking midfielder that can succeed Thomas Muller.

The Bavarian giants are presently top of Bundesliga and are regarded favourites to win the league for the tenth successive season.
