Atletico Madrid are reportedly looking to sign Manchester United forward Anthony Martial on a swap deal.

The Frenchman has played less than 400 minutes of first-team football this term amid fierce competition for places.

He is reportedly keen on leaving the club in January, and Marca claims that Atletico could make a transfer approach.

The La Liga champions are unlikely to afford a permanent deal for the attacker, but a swap deal appears an option.

Kieran Trippier was heavily linked with the Red Devils last summer. He could be one of the players that could be included.

Martial's agent recently confirmed that the forward wants to leave United, but the story was dismissed by manager Ralf Rangnick.

Rangnick said that the 26-year-old has yet to place a transfer request, and he is unlikely to leave the club at the start of January.

Martial has been nursing a knee injury, but he could return to the matchday squad when the Red Devils face Brighton this weekend.
