Real Madrid have clear stance on Paul Pogba

Pogba won't join Real Madrid

Real Madrid have no plans of reviving their interest in Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba.

The Frenchman will enter the final six months of his contract in January, and he is free to negotiate with foreign clubs.

Madrid have been regularly linked with him in recent years, but Foot Mercato claims that they are unlikely to make a move.

Los Blancos pursued Edouardo Camavinga from Rennes over the summer, and the Frenchman has yet to establish himself.

The club's hierarchy are not keen on pursuing Pogba as that would hinder the development of Camavinga and Federico Valverde.

Pogba could still attract plenty of transfer interest. Paris Saint-Germain and former club Juventus are in the mix to sign him.

Les Parisiens should have the upper hand over the Bianconeri as they are likely to meet the midfielder's £540,000-a-week demands.

United are reluctant to offer more than £400,000-a-week to the World Cup winner. Their contract proposal remains on the table.
