Chelsea enter race to sign Portuguese midfielder
Chelsea have reportedly joined Manchester United in the race to sign Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Ruben Neves.
The Portugal international has been an integral part of the Wolves setup, but his future remains uncertain beyond next summer.
The midfielder's current deal expires in June 2024, and Fichajes claims that he could be eyeing a bigger challenge elsewhere.
United are long-term admirers of Neves. They are expected to pursue another defensive midfielder at the end of the season.
The Red Devils are set to face competition from the Blues, who are keen on signing a young midfielder with big game experience.
Neves is on the radar of both clubs. Wolves are open to parting ways with the 24-year-old if they receive around £35 million.
Aside from Neves, Wolves could also consider the sale of Adama Traore next summer amid his ongoing contract stand-off.
With his contract expiring in June 2023, he could be sold for around £30m. Wolves valued him at £50m over the summer.
