Aubameyang ready to leave Arsenal

Arsenal forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is prepared to leave this month after falling out-of-favour under manager Mikel Arteta.

The Gabon international has not featured for the Gunners over the past six games. He has been ignored by Arteta following a disciplinary breach.

Aubameyang is now with his national team for the African Cup of Nations, but he may have played his final game for the north London giants.

According to Italian journalist Nicolo Schira, the marksman is willing to leave the club if he is not in the plans of the head coach.

Juventus and Newcastle United have been linked, but neither of those clubs are willing to negotiate a permanent transfer this month.

The Magpies are reportedly willing to sign him on loan for £5m. They are willing to pay another £20m for a permanent move next summer.

The club are now backed by wealthy Saudi owners, and they are in a strong position to meet Aubameyang's wages of £250,000-a-week.
