Pogba urged to delay future decision

Manchester United football director John Murtough has reportedly urged Paul Pogba to delay his contract decision until the end of the campaign.

The Frenchman currently has five months remaining on his existing deal, and he is free to speak with foreign clubs regarding a pre-contract.

Despite this, the Red Devils have not given up on keeping him beyond the summer, and they are hopeful the midfielder will delay his future decision.

A new permanent manager will be appointed in the coming months, and ESPN claims that Murtough has asked Pogba to consider his future after that.

The club's chief has sent the same message to Anthony Martial and Donny van de Beek, who barely played for the club during the first half of the season.

Martial headed to Sevilla on loan last month while Van de Beek made the temporary switch to Everton. Both could be eyeing permanent exits in the summer.

Manchester United restart their campaign after the winter break with an FA Cup fourth-round tie against Middlesbrough at Old Trafford on Friday.
