Newcastle United to make fresh move for Arsenal man
Newcastle United will make a renewed attempt to land Arsenal goalkeeper Bernd Leno during the summer transfer window.
The Magpies were keen on landing his services last month. They were willing to sign him on loan with an obligation to buy.
However, the Gunners did not entertain the approach as they were reluctant to lose him midway through the ongoing campaign.
It is now reported that Leno will be shown the exit door this summer when he enters the final year of his contract with the club.
Leno has been linked with several Serie A and La Liga clubs, but the Magpies plan to make a fresh approach to acquire his services.
The Germany international could be tempted to join them in the summer, provided they avoid relegation from the top-flight.
The Gunners have already landed a replacement for Leno. They have agreed a deal with New England Revolution for Matt Turner.
Turner, who has 16 international caps for USA, will join for an initial £5m.
