Arsenal already in contact talks with in-form star

Arsenal are already in contract talks with in-form defender Jurrien Timber, according to BBC Sport.

The Gunners have been busy with contract negotiations and have already confirmed new deals for William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhaes and Ethan Nwaneri since the summer.

The club are now keen on prolonging the stay of Timber with a pay rise. The Dutchman has developed into one of the best right-backs in the Premier League under Mikel Arteta.

The former Ajax man has become an indispensable part of the manager's Premier League plans, and Ben White has struggled to displace him from the starting XI for some period of time.

Arsenal's hierarchy are working on a renewal with the Netherlands ace, but he is not the only player. The club are also planning to discuss improved terms with Declan Rice very soon.

Bukayo Saka has yet to renew his contract expiring in June 2027, but the club are not overly concerned and it is only a matter of time before the Englishman prolongs his stay too.
