Chelsea defender wanted by Bayern Munich
Bayern Munich have emerged as fresh contenders to sign Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen this summer, according to Sky Germany.
The Bavarian giants are set to lose Niklas Sule at the end of the season. He has already agreed a pre-contract deal with Borussia Dortmund.
Owing to this, they are bound to pursue a replacement, but Sky Germany claims that the board are unlikely to spend big transfer fees.
Instead, they prefer a low-cost signing, and Christensen is one of the top names on their radar. The Dane's contract with the Blues expires in June.
Christensen was initially touted to sign a new contract with the European champions, but he made a surprise U-turn earlier this campaign.
Barcelona have already entered talks over a free transfer, but Bayern could scupper their chances by luring Christensen back to Bundesliga.
Christensen spent two seasons on loan with Borussia Monchengladbach where he was a huge hit. Bayern are said to value his experience.
