Paris Saint-Germain pressing hard to sign Manchester United star

Paul Pogba news

Pogba to PSG this summer?

Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly stepping up their efforts to sign Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba this summer.

The Frenchman has entered the last five months of his United contract, and he appears unlikely to prolong his stay at the club.

Talks are already underway with foreign teams, and Tuttomercatoweb claims that Les Parisiens could be favourites to land him.

The Ligue 1 leaders were initially keen on pursuing midfielder N'Golo Kante from Chelsea, but he is deemed indispensable.

Hence, their focus is now on Pogba, who can negotiate a pre-contract ahead of joining them on a free transfer this summer.

Les Parisiens attempted to land the 28-year-old in the last transfer window, but were put off by the €50 million price tag.

They can now sign him for nothing, but the deal won't be cheap nonetheless with the signing-on and agent fees involved.

Juventus are also keen on re-signing the World Cup winner, but a deal appears unlikely unless he is willing to take a pay-cut.
